A All of the products carried by Glatt-on-Demand are pre-packaged. Every product we sell carries one or more of the following hashgachot: OU, CRC, MK, The Nirbator Rav, and KAJ. For hashgacha information pertaining to a particular product please see the product description.

Q How are Glatt-on-Demand products shipped?
A With our eco-friendly shipping solution, your Glatt-on-Demand order will arrive frozen at your door. We use a plethora of dry ice and a unique insulated cooler to create a delivery mechanism that will withstand any type of weather. These reusable coolers are very versatile; they can be used for trips or storage. In addition, our unique packing materials are biodegradable. Rest assured that if you decide to dispose of your cooler, it would not sit in a landfill.
Q How are shipping costs determined?
A All of our orders are shipped via UPS and pricing is based on a flat per cooler charge based on location. Shipping charges start as low as $9.99 per cooler for most single day in transit shipments. Orders shipped to areas which are 2, 3 or 4 days in transit times are shipped via UPS Ground service and range on price from $19.99 - $44.99 per cooler based on location (excluding AK). Orders shipped to 5 day time in transit areas are shipped via UPS 3 day select service and range in price from $39.99 - $119.99 per cooler. Shipping charges to AK, HI, & PR range from $139.99-$199.99 per cooler.
Q What is approximate weight, and how is it determined?
A While the weights of some items such as prepared, pre-packaged foods, are exact, most raw meat and poultry items do have a variance in weight from piece to piece.
In order to help keep prices reasonable, we use an approximate weight for each item rather then weighing and tagging each item separately. That particular process would subsequently force us to identify each particular package when packing out each order. By avoiding such labor-intensive processes as the one formerly described, we are able to save you, the consumer, money.
The approximate weights of items are determined by dividing the actual weight of each case by the number of pieces in said case. If we find an extremely undersized or over sized piece it is separated from the case and not included in our calculations. If you find that we have put a slightly smaller piece of one item into your shipment it means that we have compensated you with a larger piece of a separate item. We make sure every customer receives his or her accurate share!.
Q How many items can fit into my cooler?
A The majority of our products come packaged in trays. The ones that do not are assigned a tray value based on their size. Our coolers can hold up to 24 trays for orders that are in transit 2-4 days, and 30 trays for those in transit only 1 day. Some trays are larger then others (i.e. the ones holding roasts) and those items count as more than one tray in your shopping cart. Our shopping cart is also designed to let you know how many additional trays you may add before incurring an additional shipping charge. We suggest you completely fill up the cooler as this will help you to maximize the value of the shipping charges.
Q How long will it take to get my order?
A With our shipping method, your order will typically be delivered to your home within one (1) to ten (10) business days. We currently work exclusively with UPS to arrange delivery of your order. We have made special arrangements with UPS so you do not need to be home to receive your package. If you are not home to receive your package it will be left at your front door. Q Why does it take so long to get my order?
A Your order is held for shipment on the appropriate day of the week as to ensure your package will not be in transit for any period longer than four (4) days. This process ensures that your order will arrive frozen. We ship most orders via UPS Ground service. Please use the map to determine the number of days in transit for your order and the chart below to determine the day on which your order can be shipped. Also please be aware any location shown as a five-day zone will be shipped via UPS 3 day select service. Orders shipped to HI & PR will be shipped via 2-day service. Q What do I do if the package arrives and it is not frozen or if it is spoiled?
A Uncooked meat and poultry spoil at 40°F. The typical temperature inside our cooler is -100°F at the time it leaves our shipping facility. Dry ice in its solid form is -176°F and will maintain the coolers internal temperature well below 40°F for the duration of the time in transit. In the unlikely event you do find that the inside of the cooler has risen above 40°F and the meat and poultry are defrosted, please contact us immediately at (866) 66 GLATT and do not consume any of the products that were in the cooler! All shipments are insured against spoilage and we will replace the order.
Q I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the Internet. How can I be sure my credit card information is secure?
A At Glatt On Demand we offer several checkout options.
The first option is to checkout directly on our website using your credit or debit card. GlattOnDemand.com employs the highest levels of electronic security and encryption to ensure your information remains secure. We utilize a 128-bit ssl security certificate from Go Daddy, one of the internet’s leading hosting, registration, and SSL companies. Simply click on the Go Daddy Logo on the left side of our website to verify the validity of our security certificate. As an added safety precaution we do not store any of your credit card information on our servers!

Q I just placed my order online. How will I know the order was received?
A You will receive two email confirmations for each order placed online. The first email should arrive within 24 hours. It confirms receipt of your order and provides you with your order confirmation number. The second email is sent the moment your product is shipped and provides you with your package tracking number.
